What PrismBeat processes
PrismBeat reads the currently playing Spotify track, playback state and album artwork so it can render its controls and displays. It analyses Spotify audio in real time to drive the visualisations.
Local audio analysis
Audio analysis happens locally on your device. On macOS, PrismBeat uses ScreenCaptureKit to capture Spotify application audio and therefore requires Screen Recording permission. It does not capture or analyse screen images. On Windows, it uses process-loopback capture for Spotify and does not require microphone access.
Captured audio is held only long enough to calculate the live visual data. It is not recorded, saved, uploaded or sent to PUNK LABS or PrismBeat.
Settings and analytics
PrismBeat stores your action and dial preferences locally through Stream Deck. PrismBeat does not require an account and does not include advertising or product analytics.
Third-party services
Spotify and Elgato may process data under their own privacy policies when you use their applications and services. PrismBeat is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify or Elgato.
